the fall of troy

Most teams would take a 10-2 season, but not the USC Trojans. USC hadn't lost 2 games in a season since 2002 and had beaten UCLA 7 straight times dating back to 1998. Until today's 13-9 loss to the Bruins, USC had scored at least 20 points in 63 consecutive games. USC was one score away from playing in its fourth straight National Championship Game. The Trojans will play in the Rose Bowl against Michigan if Florida climbs to #2 or against LSU. UCLA will go to the Emerald Bowl to play Florida State.
