A little high school football as the week winds down. The 5-0 Southlake Carroll Dragons, ranked No.1 in the state and No. 2 in the nation, play 4-1 Haltom Friday night at Dragon Stadium. The Buffalos only loss was a 24-21 setback on the road at Grapevine where the Buffs missed a game tying 27 yd field goal as time expired. The Dragons are averaging 50 points per game on offense, but look for Southlake to surpass that and run it up some in preparation for rival Denton Ryan next week, where they will want to be firing on all cylinders.
Other games of note include:
4-1 Irving at 5-0 MacArthur
5-0 Plano at 4-1 Allen
1-4 RL Turner at 1-4 Newman Smith (battle for the cellar in 10-5A)

Denton Ryan Rocks...
Go RL Turner
Beat Smith
I think Ryan is in for a beating against Carroll. Ryan isnt the team they were last year and only beat Richland 21-7... and well, Smith put up 56 points on RL WHO?

I was'nt expecting us (RL Turner) to win, but we sure had spirit. Seemed like the Smith side was laid back, there was'nt the level of cheering, dancing and general fun we had on the Turner side.
Maybe it appeared we were laid back because we had a big lead by the time the second quarter started. It seemed pretty loud and rowdy to me... especially with all the TDs we scored! ;) besides, we gave you that last score!

its hard to see Turner lose this badly.... its like 2003 all over again.....im scared to even watch the Turner/Creekview game....but atleast its fun to watch the games on the Turner side with all the spirit.... i heard the Smith pep ralley was canceled because students booed that football players during the last pep ralley.....thats really sad.... i expected much more smith fans to show up to the turner/smith game.... its sad the lack of school spirit that school has....but i guess i dont blame them....they really arnt good at anything....heheh....jk....their band was pretty good ...hahha
sorry...
